You`d better believe it!!…Thursday April 4th 2013 most definitely is International Carrot Day.

So become a carrot comrade this April and embrace your carrots. Here are a few ideas to get you started.

GET CULINARY CREATIVE WITH CARROTS

95% of the carrots you find in the supermarket are grown in the UK. So buying carrots are a great way to support British produce. All you need to do now is get in the kitchen, put on your apron and cook up a storm. Carrots are one of the most eco-friendly veggies you can eat and there are some delish carrot recipes out there.

Carrot smoothies, juices and cocktails are just a few of the ways you can turn these bright orange veggies into your favourite drinks. Carrots have such a lovely sweet flavour so make a good addition when baking cakes, cookies and muffins. Also a sneaky way of getting any fussy kids to eat their veggies. Dips, soups, salads, and sides are all just a taster of what carrots are capable of!!
